We are pleased to announce a new series of informational Wellness Workshops for our patients and the Salem Community! There is growing recognition and evidence that mindfulness-based therapies offer support for our mental health. These techniques also dramatically improve our physical well-being, and therefore are the perfect complement to physical therapy regimens and other forms of conventional medical treatments. Mindfulness takes us beyond merely coping and “making do.”
Mindfulness — the first in a series of topics planned for our Wellness Workshops — will explore the mind-body connection and the relationship between emotional health and physical ailments. Join workshop presenter Stephen Timson, Ph.D. to find out more about this unique approach to well-being and learn easy to do mind / body awareness exercises that have a highly beneficial and therapeutic impact on a wide range of health and wellness concerns and issues:
· Anxiety and Stress Reduction
· Pain Management
· Depression and Job Burnout
· Chronic Disease Management: Diabetes and Hypertension
· Self-Care: Self-Esteem and Personal Awareness
· Facing Life’s Challenges
We believe our new series of informational workshop presentations will be a valuable resource for learning more about current health and wellness practices that promote fundamental and long-lasting changes in our physical and emotional well-being, and further support our mission of treating the whole person.
Contact our Office at (503) 566-7782 for a schedule of upcoming workshops.
